Training experience: Competing
at a high level for many years for myself, the
state or the country has really taught me the
importance of rest, relaxation and release,
to balance the intense effort put into each
training session or competition. Whether I've
been enduring the many heats and finals when
in competition or sliding down the luge/skeleton
track at 120km/h in sub zero temperatures, my
body is really pushed to it's limits. Knowing
how to prepare my body is reflected in how I
have performed in competition with many successful
results, including Australian Titles gold medals
for Surf Life Saving and competing for Australia
in Skeleton in America, Canada and Germany for
2 years. Incorporating relaxation-rest-repair
time , allowed my body to be relaxed, sharp
and ready for all situations.
Having always been surrounded by massage and
providing basic trackside assistance to teammates
during warmups etc, I recently took this interest/understanding
to the next level by completing a fully certified
Swedish massage course. This has furthered my
knowledge on how the body works and the many
benefits of massage both physically and mentally.
I am continually pursuing new information and
courses to increase my knowledge and skills
in the different areas of massage, especially
relaxation and sports massage. This makes sure
I'm using effective and relevant techniques
to balance your body and mind.
